Here follows links to web pages and documents which may be of interest in relation to the topics covered by Cold City.
If you have any links you think we should have here, then please feel free to email us. We'll update this page when we find new stuff to add.

The CIA database of documents on the intelligence war in Berlin is a very comprehensive archive of information and documentation (declassified during the 1990's) relating to intelligence activities in Berlin during the period 1946 - 1961

National Security Council Meetings 1947 - 1953. A list of topics covered by the Truman administration. Interesting if you want to know what was discussed during a given period.

"Declassified files re-open Nazi bomb debate" An article by Stanley Goldberg and Thomas Powers re-evaluating the German WW2 atomic bomb project and it's progress.

Operation Paperclip and the recruitment of Nazi scientists into the American military.

Deutsches Ahnenerbe: A good, basic account (on Wikipedia) of the history, expeditions and other activities of the Ahnenerbe (Deutsches Ahnenerbe - Studiengesellschaft für Geistesurgeschichte, trans: German Ancestry - Research and Teaching Society), which later became a section of the SS.

A list of former Nazis involved in the Gehlen Org, the CIA-sponsored West German intelligence organisation.

The Gehlen-Hohner Report is purported to be a genuine file relating to the activities and organisation of the Gehlen Org. Interesting, and a source of period handouts!

Invisible Eagle is a fairly hefty PDF looking at a whole range of occult and weird-technology theories in relation to the Third Reich. Probably best read with a fair degree of skepticism, but contains some interesting ideas for Cold City games.

The history and activities of the NKVD (Narodnyi Komissariat Vnutrennikh Del, trans: People's Commisariat for Internal Affairs), one of the forerunners of the MGB and KGB.

The US Army Germany website offers information, background and resources on the history of the US forces in Germany from 1945 onwards. The section on Berlin may prove particularly useful, as it has a whole host of photos, links and documentation.

In the name of science: The role of biologists in Nazi atrocities, lessons for today's scientists

Skeletons in the closet of German science: Short article discussing the role of medicine in the Third Reich

The Reich of the Black Sun: Scanned and OCR’ed archive of a book that should be approached with extreme scepticism. It is, however, a great source of fodder for Cold City.

The Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp memorial: Page dedicated to exploring the history and suffering of concentration camp victims who laboured in the underground V2 factories.
